Day 1 & Day 2 : Working Group Sessions

Two-day working group sessions of APRSAF-22 began on Tuesday, December 1 at Discovery Kartika Plaza Hotel, Bali, Indonesia. More than 300 participants so far have joined the sessions.

Day 3 & Day 4 : Plenary Session

On December 3 and 4, Plenary Session was held.

The session opened with a speech by Prof. Dr. Thomas Djamaluddin, Chairman, LAPAN, followed by Welcome Remarks by Dr. Jumain Appe, Director General for Innovation Enhancement, Minister of Research, Technology and Higher Education (RISTEK-DIKTI), INDONESIA and Mr. Akinori Mori, Deputy Director General, Research and Development Bureau, Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT), JAPAN. Keynote Speech was delivered by Dr. Toshio Koike, Professor, Department of Civil Engineering, The University of Tokyo, JAPAN.

Day 4 started with “Space Cooperation in the Asia-Pacific region” session, delivered by entities from other region and international/regional organizations.

After the summary reports by working groups, recommendations of APRSAF-22 were adopted by all participants.


At the very end of the plenary session, the Philippines, the host country of the next session of APRSAF, APRSAF-23, made a brief presentation.

Water Rocket Event

On November 28 and 29, Water Rocket Event was held at Hotel Oranjje and Niti Mandala Renon Field. More than 50 students from 13 countries participated in the event and enjoyed the launch competition with plastic bottle rockets made by themselves.
