The National Research Institute for Earth Science and Disaster Prevention (NIED) of Tsukuba Science City, Japan, will be joining Sentinel Asia in 2016. Mr. Koji Suzuki, executive director of NIED, discussed the Institute’s expectations in terms of space-based technologies for disaster risk reduction.

The APRSAF Secretariat conducted an interview with Professor Dr. Doan Minh Chung, Director of the Space Technology Institute (STI), Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology (VAST), on the occasion of the APRSAF-22 in Bali, Indonesia, held in December 2015. He was a key player when VAST hosted APRSAF-20 in Hanoi in 2013, and also when VAST became a data provider node of Sentinel Asia in 2015.
