Dr. Noordin Ahmad is currently the Director General of the National Space Agency of Malaysia (ANGKASA). He has more than years of experience in work related to space technology and applications. He obtained his Geomatics degree from University of Melbourne, Australia in 1984 and PhD in GPS Positioning from University of Newcastle, UK in 1988. He is also an adjunct lecturer at the Faculty of Engineering, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UTM) since 1998 with more than 50 journal papers and has supervised more than 30 research graduates. He is actively involved in the Geospatial sector and members of several technical committees on GNSS and GIS both locally and at regional level. He has won several prestigious awards and competitions at international level such as British High Commissioner Award, Asia Geospatial Excellence Award and Gold award for inventions at several international events at Geneva (Switzerland), Nuremburg (Germany), Manila (Philippines) and Madrid (Spain).
