Mr. K Sethuraman is currently functioning as Director, Satellite Communication and Navigation Programme Office in the Head Quarters of Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), Bangalore.
Mr. Sethuraman has been serving in the satellite communication programme office, since 2000, in various capacities. His contributions include Frequency management functions, INSAT/GSAT satellite transponder management, SATCOM policy implementation and implementing societal applications like tele-education, tele-medicine, Village Resource Centre, etc
Prior to joining Satellite Communication Programme Office, ISRO Headquarters, he was working in the areas of satellite mission operations with special emphasis on real-time software management functions at INSAT-Master Control Facility at Hassan, for over 15 years. During this exposure, he developed expertise in software development for satellite mission operations and establishment and management of high computer systems for mission critical applications.
He joined ISRO, Department of Space in the year 1985 after obtaining his post graduate degree in Mathematics.
