Ko Hamamoto got a master degree of science from Hokkaido university in Japan in 2013. His major is meteorology of Jupiter and Saturn using a telescope observation and image analysis. He joined Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) in 2013, and had led SAFE, an international cooperation initiative for demonstration of practical applications of satellite technology as the representative of the secretariat. He joined Sustainable Development and Climate Change Department, Asian Development Bank in 2017. He has supported several ADB projects using satellite technology and led Spatial Data Analysis Explorer (SPADE) development and utilization in ADB and DMCs.
