Served as a Director General for International Cooperation, National Space Policy Secretariat, Cabinet Office from January 2018, to promote the Japanese space asset to international communities under the Japan’s space policy and to enhance international cooperation both in the upstream and downstream in the space sector.

Since joining the Science and Technology Agency in 1988, I have:
- worked to support the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER) Project
- been assigned to support the International Space Station project
- been appointed Science Attaché at the Japanese Embassy in Moscow
- been assigned to the life sciences division
- worked at the National Institute of Radiological Sciences
- been assigned to crisis management director , MEXT
- supported Science, Technology, and Mathematics education in Science and Technology Promotion Agency
- been assigned deputy director of International Science and Technology Center (in Moscow) and worked to coordinate programs for supporting researchers concerning weapons for mass destruction in former Soviet Union
- worked on compiling the White Paper on Science and Technology ,MEXT
