OGASAWARA Ko is Vice President & General Manager of Space Systems at Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. (MHI). Since he joined MHI in 1988, he participated in a variety of space system developments such as H-II Launch Vehicle, Japanese Experiment Module "KiBO", Japanese mini-space shuttle "HOPE" and attended numbers of launch operations. As VP & GM since 2014, he is responsible for diverse space business including H-IIA Launch Services, development of space station cargo vehicle and future space transportation system research.

He earned Master’s degree of Engineering from Kyoto University in 1988 and PhD in 2001.
