Prof. Dr. Erna Sri Adiningsih is a Research Professor in Remote Sensing Technology. Since 1990 she has conducted research activities in the areas of remote sensing data processing and applications, particularly in natural resources, disasters, and environment. Prof. Erna achieved her Bachelor of Meteorology, Magister of Natural Resources and Environmental Sciences, and Ph.D. of Applied Climatology from the Bogor Agricultural University (IPB). She was awarded a Research Professor in Remote Sensing Technology in 2016. Formerly, Prof. Erna was assigned as the Director of Aerospace Analysis and Information Center of LAPAN in 2007 up to 2013. From 2013−2018, she was served as the Senior Researcher until in the early February 2018 she was then appointed as the Executive Secretary of the National Institute of Aeronautics and Space (LAPAN) of the Republic of Indonesia from 2018 until August 2021. From September 2021 until March 2022, she was appointed as the Acting Head of Research Organization for Aeronautics and Space under the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN). Now she is continuing her enrollment as senior researcher at Research Center for Remote Sensing of BRIN, but she has also been assigned as the Executive Director of Indonesian Space Agency (INASA) Secretariat of BRIN.
