For more than 14-year experience working at the Geo-Informatics and Space Technology Development Agency of Thailand, Tatiya Chuentragun, the Deputy Executive Director, has accumulated professional experience in space and geo-information product and service, as well as execution of the geo-informatics agency.
He has experienced in management of satellite ground controlling and operating, value-added satellite products, derivative satellite products, and geo-spatial applications/solutions development, in addition, supervision of data archiving, internet map services, and surveying and mapping are also included.
At present, his missions are dedicated to outreaching users, and all stakeholders to deliver products and services to meet users’ needs and requirements, and partners for collaborating and cocreating values for users. These include domestic and international partnership and collaboration development and management, capacity building and awareness for life-long learning for all ages.
Regarding assistance to Policy Level in Thailand, he has provided technical support for National Committee on Geo-Information and other geoinformation applications related committees, sub-committees, and working groups. He played a significant role in development and implementation of National Geo-Information System (NGIS) and FGDS for government data sharing and applications and COVID-19 iMAP, GIS applications which was utilized as a tool for monitoring and managing COVID-19 situation in Center for COVID-19 Situation Administration.
He has been active in international fora and has represented Thailand and GISTDA in inter-governmental and non-governmental working groups in areas of geospatial information and disaster, for instance, the Chairperson of ASEAN SCOSA (Sub-Committee on Space Technology and Applications) member, and the Co-Chairs in Sentinel Asia Steering Committee Member.
