Julius Yeo is currently Director (Asia) of Starburst Aerospace, driving innovation initiatives in the aviation, aerospace, defence and homeland security sectors in Asia Pacific (APAC). He set up the Singapore Aviation Accelerator program, delivering successful commercialisation projects between startups and corporates.
At present, Julius is building a venture fund, with a focus on tech investments in sustainability, digitalisation as well as logistics & supply chains. Julius is also active in venture building activities for Starburst portfolio startups in APAC.
Julius has a professional career track record in MNCs. During his time in Rockwell Collins, he headed the commercial systems strategy team and was responsible for implementing the digital roadmap and joint venture activities in APAC.
Prior to that, Julius was a program manager in IATA, spearheading sales and strategic partnerships with the aviation ecosystem, including airlines, airport operators and OEMs.
Julius' role in the Defence Science & Technology Agency (DSTA) of Singapore includes managing Private-Public Partnership aerospace projects with international OEMs and Singapore Air Force.
Notably, Julius was also involved in advisory assignments for the development of aircraft engine leasing business plans alongside raising investment from capital market and private equity organization(s).
Julius holds a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from the Nanyang Technological University of Singapore as well as Harvard Executive Mentor Program from IATA.
