Dr. Pham Anh Tuan

Dr. Pham Anh Tuan is currently the Director General of Vietnam National Space Center of the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology. He also serves as Chairman of Project Management Unit of Vietnam Space Center Project which is one of the most important national projects for the research and development of space science and technology in Vietnam. Since 2012, he has been a member of Management Board of the Vietnam National Program on Space Science and Technology.

Since 2013 Dr. Tuan has become a member of International Academy of Astronautics (IAA). Dr. Tuan is a key contributor in the cooperation of Vietnam with JAXA, NASA, CNES, CSIRO and other space related organizations such as Committee on Earth Observation Satellites (CEOS), Group on Earth Observations (GEO) and Asia Pacific Regional Space Agency Forum (APRSAF).

He has been involved in PicoDragon, NanoDragon, MicroDragon small satellite development programs and especially in LOTUSat earth observation satellites, making him a key person for small satellite projects in his country.

Receiving Dipl.-Ing. in 1984 at Ilmenau University of Technology, Germany where he also received Dr.-Ing. in 1986, Pham Anh Tuan is an international expert in mechatronics, satellite technology and records an impressive list of contribution to national and international scientific meetings. He is the Author of 40 publications and 1 patent.
