Koji Ina is the Manager of Strategic Planning Division, the Space Strategy Fund Department of Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) since 2024. He also serves as the Avisor to the Director (international affairs), Business Development and Industrial Relations Department.

Prior to joining JAXA, he was the Director of Space Industry Office, Manufacturing Industries Bureau, Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) since 2022. He joined the office in 2020 as the Deputy Director. He joined METI in 2011. He received the Master’s Degree in Information Security Policy & Management at the Carnegie Mellon University in 2018 and the Bachelor’s Degree in Physics Engineering at the Kyoto University in 2011.
