Prof. Acad. Chau Van Minh is the President of Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology since 2008. He joined the Moscow State University, Russian Federation to obtain his PhD degree in 1994. In 2006, he was named full professor in Chemistry.

Since 2014 Prof. Acad. Minh has been elected as a member of the Belarus National Academy of Sciences. He has also been granted State Science and Technology Award and the UNESCO Vietnam Medal.

Prof. Acad. Minh has been working for VAST (previously known as the National Centre for Natural Science and Technology) since 1985 and he is one of the major scientists of Vietnam specializing in Chemistry.
