1. Indian PSLV Successfully Launched Ten Satellites into Orbit - April 28, 2008
------------------------------------------------------------------------

On April 28, the Indian Space Research Organisation's Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV-C9) successfully launched the remote sensing satellite CARTOSAT-2A, IMS-1z (mini satellite), and eight nanosatellites for international customers. On April 30, both CARTOSAT-2A and IMS-1z sent their first images of India from space to the National Remote Sensing Agency (NRSA).

3. [[Series 4: Introduction of the Current Status of Small Japanese Satellites]] Introduction of SOHLA

In summer 2008, SOHLA-1, the satellite of the Space Oriented Higashiosaka Leading Association (SOHLA) will be launched together with another five small, piggyback satellites.

4. “Discovery” Launched with Kibo's Pressurized Module
------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Space Shuttle “Discovery”, with Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA)'s Astronaut Akihiko Hoshide onboard, was successfully launched on June 1, 2008.
The STS-124 Mission (1J), the second of the three “Kibo” (Japanese Experiment module) designated assembly missions, will deliver the Pressurized Module and Robotic Arm of the Kibo to the International Space Station (ISS).
