The 16th session of the Asia-Pacific Regional Space Agency Forum (APRSAF-16) was successfully held in Bangkok, Thailand, from 26-29 January, 2010.

2. The First Asia Oceania Regional Workshop on GNSS Held

The first Asia Oceania Regional Workshop on GNSS was successfully held in Bangkok, Thailand on 25 and 26 January, 2010.

3. Reports of a Water Rocket Event & Poster Contest

5. New Building for the STAR Program Fully Constructed
//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
The new building for STAR program has been fully constructed.
With a laboratory, meeting room and 2 office rooms, it will soon be ready to welcome engineers from the Asia-Pacific region and become the hub of the STAR program.

- JAXA and Kazkosmos Sign an Agreement for Future Cooperation On January 27, 2010, President Tachikawa of JAXA and Chairman Musabayaev of the National Space Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan (Kazcosmos) signed an agreement "Establishment of Cooperation in the Field of Space Activities for Peaceful Purposes" for future cooperation between the two agencies in Bangkok, Thailand. They will proceed to future cooperation in four specific areas, namely space science, earth observation, satellite communication, and global satellite navigation.

- India and South Korea Agree to Cooperation in Science & Technology
On January 25, 2010, India and South Korea signed a Programme of Cooperation in Science & Technology for the period 2010-12. This will facilitate cooperation between both countries, providing opportunities to work on application-oriented joint research projects and to scientists from both countries to visit each other's laboratories.
