3. Interview with STAR program participants

The APRSAF Secretariat visited the STAR program office at the JAXA Sagamihara campus and conducted interview with participants in the program. They told us about their specialities, their roles in the program, etc.

- Singapore joins ASPIRE
In February 2010, Singapore joined ASPIRE, the Asia and Pacific Initiative to Reduce Emissions, designed to make aircraft operations in that region more efficient in order to reduce fuel burn and the emission of greenhouse gases. Singapore is the latest partner in ASPIRE.

- MOU between GISTDA and CONIDA in Space Technology and Geo-Informatics Space Technology Department Agency of Thailand (GISTDA) made an official visit to Peru in January 2010 in order to advance cooperation in space technology and geo-informatics with Peru, and MOU was signed with the National Aerospace Research and Development Commission of Peru (CONIDA).

- GISTDA's Imagineering Center opening ceremony
GISTDA's Imagineering Center opening ceremony was held on January 26, 2010, with the attendance of Dr. Khunying Kalaya Sophon-panich, the Minister of Science and Technology and GISTDA
Executive Board. Many participants in APRSAF-16 were invited to the ceremony in the late afternoon and celebrated the grand opening of the center.
