* 1. News on APRSAF: APRSAF-22 Successfully Concluded

We are pleased to inform you that the twenty-second session of the Asia-Pacific Regional Space Agency Forum (APRSAF-22) has successfully concluded its 4-day meeting in Bali, Indonesia, that was held from December 1 to 4, 2015. The Secretariat would like to thank you all for your contributions toward and participation in APRSAF-22.

* 2. News on APRSAF: Request for APRSAF Questionnaire Completion

APRSAF's online questionnaire is now available. To further improve APRSAF activities, we would appreciate your cooperation in completing the questionnaire on the following website:

* 5. Korea's STSAT-3 Ends Its Mission

The Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning of Korea (MSIP) and the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) have announced that the Science and Technology Satellite-3 (STSAT-3), launched on November 21, 2013, has completed its observation mission. The ST SAT-3 orbited 10,500 times around the 600-km altitude of the sun-synchronous orbit, observing the atmosphere and monitoring the environment, as well as observing the Galaxy. With a two-year operational lifetime, the satellite completed its observation mission.

* 6. Indonesia's Basic Plan for Space Discussed

On November 24, a council was held at National Institute of Aeronautics and Space of Indonesia (LAPAN) headquarters regarding the draft of a long-term basic space plan (2015-2039). Joined by representatives from governmental research institutes, the council was held in order to create synergy with close cooperation among the institutes and to expand the mutual network of researchers. Prof. Dr. Thomas Djamaluddin, Chairman of LAPAN, stated during the council that the basic plan had already been drafted and would shortly become effective as an executive order.

* 7. ISRO to Plan to Launch Students' Satellites
+----------------------------------------------------------------+
On December 2, in India's House of the People (Lok Sabha), Dr. Jitendra Singh, the Minister of State (Independent Charge) for the Department of Space and others cited the possibility that the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) would provide launch opportunities for several small satellites for earth observation or ionospheric research developed by students from different institutes and universities in the country.
