Successful Conclusion of APRSAF-24
It is with great pleasure that we announce the successful conclusion of the twenty-fourth session of the Asia-Pacific Regional Space Agency Forum (APRSAF-24) after the 4-day meeting in Bengaluru, India, from November 14-17, 2017. In all, 538 participants from 31 countries and regions and 9 international organizations attended the meeting. The Secretariat extends its thanks to all who participated and contributed to the success of APRSAF-24.

1) International Seminar on Indian Space Programme Concludes
On November 20-21, 2017, the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and Antrix Corporation Limited, the commercial arm of ISRO, organized the International Seminar on the Indian Space Programme: "Trends and Opportunities for Industry" in coordination with the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI). During the seminar, stakeholders from industry, policy makers, and academia deliberated on the enabling and encouraging policies of the Government of India for the Indian industry to exploit the commercial space segment targeting both the domestic and the international market.

2) International Conference in Vietnam "Space Science and Technology" from December 12-15
The International Conference in Vietnam: Space Science and Technology (SST-2017) is scheduled from December 12-15, 2017, in Ho Chi Minh City. The main goal of the conference is to promote research activities on Space Sciences (Solar Physics, Planetary Science, Space Exploration, and Ground-based and Space Telescopes) and Technology (Remote Sensing, GPS, Pico Satellites, Rockets) in Viet Nam and in other Asian countries. 3) High-Level Forum by UNOOSA and UAE Space Agency
From November 6-9, 2017, the United Nations/United Arab Emirates - High-Level Forum: "Space as a Driver for Socio-Economic Sustainable Development" was held in Dubai, UAE. The forum was hosted by the Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre (MBRSC) and organized jointly by the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA) and the United Arab Emirates Space Agency (UAESA). The space community from around the world discussed the importance of space in achieving sustainable development goals and introduced the efforts made in the cross-sectoral areas of the four pillars of the High-Level Forum: space economy, space society, space accessibility, and space diplomacy.

4) Turkey Plans to Launch Two New Communications Satellites from 2020 to 2021
Turksat, a satellite communication services provider of Turkey, plans to deploy two communication satellites, "Turksat 5A" in 2020 and "Turksat 5B" in 2021. The two satellites will be manufactured by Airbus Defence and Space and the contract was signed at the 3rd Global SatShow held in Istanbul on November 9-10, 2017.

5) Successful Launch of Morocco's Earth Observation Satellite Onboard the Vega Launch Vehicle
On November 8 (UTC), Arianespace's Vega successfully launched an earth observation satellite for the Kingdom of Morocco, which is named "MOHAMMED VI-A". The satellite will be used for high-resolution land observation to make substantial contributions to disaster monitoring. According to Arianespace, "MOHAMMED VI-A" was developed by a consortium comprising Thales Alenia Space as the system prime contractor and Airbus as the co-prime.
