IAC2009, Daejeon, Republic of Korea
The 60th International Astronautical Congress 2009 Daejeon, Korea (IAC 2009 Daejeon) was successfully held from 12 to 16 October 2009. The APRSAF Secretariat participated in the congress and exhibited a booth to introduce APRSAF activities. Here is the report.

The APRSAF Secretariat interviewed Mr. Lee, Ok-kyu, Director of the IAC 2009 Daejeon Organizing Committee, and he commented as follows:
“Whenever I met the many participants, they informed me that IAC2009 was the best event yet and the attendance of the President (Lee Myung-bak) at the opening ceremony was strong support.”
APRSAF Booth
As you can see from the photo on the right, although it was relatively small, many people visited and showed interest in APRSAF activities, with a total of around 900 visitors to the booth. It was a great opportunity for us to introduce APRSAF activities for those from the Asia-Pacific region and also elsewhere.
The key appeal for the visitors was the fact that APRSAF had not only annual meetings but also some working groups working on each specific purpose, each of which had been operating as part of the framework of cooperation within the Asia-Pacific region.
