1. APRSAF Awards Open for Nominations
As informed earlier, we are accepting nominations for the newly established APRSAF Awards until May 31, 2021!
1) Asia-Pacific Region Excellence in Space Award
Any individual(s) with outstanding contribution having a profound impact on space-related activities in the Asia-Pacific region, inspiring the next generation in the region through the contribution above.
2) APRSAF Space Achievement Award
Any individual(s) with significant contribution to APRSAF activities, inspiring the next generation in the region through the contribution above.
Award recipients will have an opportunity to make a presentation on their achievements at the Award Ceremony which will be organized at the plenary of the APRSAF annual session.

2. Calls for student’s participation in Kibo-ABC programs
1) 2nd Kibo Robot Programming Challenge (Kibo-RPC)
Kibo-ABC initiative will host a programming competition in which participating teams will be asked to create programs to operate free-flying robots in order to complete a mission in ISS/Kibo. Your early entry is highly recommended as you will have more time to not only work on programming but also to use a simulator!
Target group: Students up to graduate school in a Kibo-RPC participating countries/region
Application deadline: May 16, 2021

2) Asian Herb in Space (AHiS)
AHiS is the third project of the Space Seeds for Asian Future program organized as part of the Kibo-ABC activities. The purpose of this project is to provide students and young researchers from the participating countries/region with an opportunity to take part in space-related biology experiments and research. AHiS also aims to promote understanding and utilization of Kibo.
Target group: Students and young researchers
Application deadline: Application deadlines vary depending on the participating organization.

3. "S-Booster 2021" calls for your business ideas
Space-based business idea contest "S-Booster 2021" hosted by the Cabinet Office, Government of Japan, is now accepting applications from Asia-Oceania regions!
S-Booster is a contest for new business ideas utilizing space assets to start new businesses or launch new projects within existing businesses.
10 million Japanese Yen (Around 92,600 USD, at 108 JPY to the dollar) will be awarded to the Grand Prize winner!
Application deadline is 5pm on Thursday, May 20, 2021 (Japan Standard Time).
