1．Deadline until May 31! - APRSAF Awards nomination!

As members of the APRSAF Community, we have all witnessed considerable progress made in space-related activities in our region. Let's be proud of ourselves and let's continue to move forward!

APRSAF Awards are established to support our activities and to make them sustainable by recognizing outstanding individual contributions in our community.

The APRSAF Awards will present the following two awards:
i) the Asia-Pacific Region Excellence in Space Award for an individual with outstanding contribution to space-related activities in the Asia-Pacific region
ii) the APRSAF Space Achievement Award for an individual with significant contribution to APRSAF activities.

2.UNCOPUOS LSC Side Event on APRSAF's NSLI will be held on May 31, 2021!

UNCOPUOS LSC Side Event titled "The Role of the National Space Legislation in Advancing the Rule of law - Efforts and Challenges in the Asia-Pacific Region" will be held on May 31, 2021.

The nine countries which participated in the APRSAF's National Space Legislation Initiative (NSLI) have jointly submitted a report on national space legislation prepared by the NSLI Study Group to the coming 60th session of the UN COPUOS Legal Subcommittee (LSC). In commemorating this joint achievement, APRSAF, the UN Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA), and the Government of Japan will jointly host a side event featuring NSLI, with support from other NSLI participating countries. The co-chairs and the NSLI Study Group members will share, in a panel discussion, the lessons learned from the NSLI activities and discuss the challenges and opportunities they face regarding national space legislation. All participants to LSC are invited.

3."S-Booster 2021" extended deadline for your business idea proposal!

Space-based business idea contest "S-Booster 2021" hosted by the Cabinet Office, Government of Japan, is now accepting space business ideas from Asia-Oceania regions.
S-Booster is a contest to solicit ideas for new space-based businesses from people who aim to launch new projects in their companies or start new businesses.
10 million Japanese Yen (Around 92,600 USD, at 108 JPY to the dollar) will be awarded to the Grand Prize winner!

The application deadline for "S-Booster 2021" has been extended from [ 5pm on Thursday, May 20, 2021 (JST) ] to [ 5pm on Monday, May 31, 2021 (JST) ].
