"APRSAF - 30 years of footprint and expectations for Future Generations"

Session Content:

  • While looking back at APRSAF's 30-year history, panelists highlight the past activities of APRSAF's initiative "Kibo-ABC" and its contribution to awareness-raising activities for researchers, engineers, and young people aiming for space experiments in the APAC region.
  • After sharing various issues such as regional educational disparities and diversity in the APAC region and the current state of STEM education in the AI era, astronauts from Japan, Australia, and Europe share the their past and current work experience. From a professional perspective, with an eye on the Artemis generation, panelists exchanged opinions on issues related to space education and human resource development in the APAC region, and what kind of collaboration and initiatives are expected in the future as international cooperation through APRSAF, etc.

"Toward the Promotion of the Space Economy including funding functions in the Asia-Pacific Region"

Session Content:

  • In the space sector, there is now a movement to promote the space economy by injecting government funding into the private sector.
  • Best practices related to public-private partnerships, and international cooperation through funding functions, etc., as measures to promote the space economy in each country will be presented.
  • To exchange views on the respective challenges and expectations from national, regional, and global perspectives regarding contributions to sustainable social and economic development in the Asia-Pacific region.
  • In addition to the space economy promotion policies of each country, share the issues to be considered in promoting the space economy in the Asia-Pacific region and on a global scale (contribution to solving global and social issues, expansion of space market and labor force creation, etc.) and the importance of international cooperation and building diverse - partnerships.
